The UK’s support for UNSCR 2334 is consistent with our long held position that Israeli settlement activity is illegal and undermines the viability of two states for two peoples. As the Prime Minister, my Rt Hon. Our staff are encouraged to take up opportunities where the work is in line with the FCO’s strategic priorities.</p><p>The terms and conditions of employees working for international organisations are set by the organisation they work for during the secondment. The host organisation also takes responsibility for ensuring the duty of care to our secondees is properly discharged and that their working conditions are satisfactory. This would include having proper grievance procedures in place. The FCO takes this into account when agreeing to a secondment, and individual volunteers are expected to satisfy themselves that they are aware of any differences between the two organisations terms and conditions before agreeing any contract. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2016 answer text <p>The criteria used in 2010 to draw up the list of priority countries within the “HMG Strategy for the Abolition of the Death Penalty 2010-2015” are set out in that document. They are:</p><p>1. The ability to make progress against three goals. (1/ an increase in the number of abolitionist or moratorium countries; 2/ a reduction in the numbers of executions; and 3/ ensuring EU minimum standards are met). <br>2. Willingness of country to engage on the abolition of the death penalty <br>3. Numbers of executions <br>4. Lack of minimum standards/transparency <br>5. Global influence of country concerned/ impact of country’s abolition elsewhere in the world</p><p>The judgement made in 2010 was that available Government resources should focus on countries ready to engage in a dialogue about capital punishment likely to lead to reform. Many of the countries prioritised in 2010, including Tunisia, Morocco, China and the USA, have implemented reforms in the intervening five years. For example, the Caribbean has maintained its de facto moratorium. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/10/2015 answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office receives a wide range of reporting on Somalia from our Embassy in Mogadishu and other actors on the ground, including the United Nations and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), the media and other open sources. Reporting shows that Al Shabaab continues vigorously to contest the lower Shabelle region. Recent Al Shabaab activities have included the re-occupation of Janaale and Kurtenwarey (alongside the continuing occupation of Jilib) following tactical AMISOM withdrawals from these smaller, more isolated positions in order to consolidate forces and focus offensive efforts elsewhere. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2015 answer text <p>If a party to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) thinks there has been a violation of the JCPoA they should notify the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission will discuss these concerns with a view to resolving them within 15 days. If the Joint Commission cannot resolve the matter, it will be considered by an Advisory Panel made up of the complainant, defendant and an independent party, and may also be considered in parallel by Foreign Ministers. If the concern still cannot be resolved and the complainant believes that the violation constitutes significant non-performance of JCPoA commitments then the matter will be escalated to the UN Security Council, which will vote on a resolution to continue the lifting of sanctions. If the Security Council does not adopt this resolution within 30 days, nuclear-related UN sanctions will automatically ‘snapback’. We have received repeated assurances from the Saudi Arabian-led coalition that they are complying with International Humanitarian Law and we continue to engage with them on those assurances. We are aware of reports of Coalition airstrikes targeting the city of Saada and have raised these reports with the Saudi Arabian authorities.
