answer text
The Government currently supports a range of projects in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories which involve both Israeli and Palestinian implementing partners. Whilst the projects currently being funded do not necessarily have a specific objective of bringing Israelis and Palestinians together, or constitute ‘joint’ projects as such, much of the work our implementers do involve Israelis and Palestinians working together. Our Conflict Prevention programme includes a focus on supporting and strengthening constituencies for peace. This includes support to train Palestinian doctors in Israeli hospitals; fostering people-to-people relations between the two communities, promoting coexistence and confidence building, whilst building the capabilities of the Palestinian healthcare system.
more like this

answer text
The UK and EU have noted the appeal by 34 voluntary organisations for a ceasefire in Gaza. We agree with the need to implement a durable ceasefire that ensures peace and security for both Palestinians and Israelis. The UK has three objectives towards the crisis in Gaza - to secure a ceasefire, to alleviate humanitarian suffering and to keep alive the prospects for peace negotiations which are the only hope of breaking this cycle of violence and devastation once and for all. The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the Member for Runnymede and Weybridge (Mr Hammond) visited the region between 23-24 July and the UK will continue to work with international partners to secure a durable ceasefire that will end the bloodshed and provide a platform for resolving the underlying causes of the conflict.
more like this

answer text
The British Government recognises the importance of building trust between Israelis and Palestinians, and supports a number of initiatives aimed at that purpose. Fostering co-existence is a key objective of our £4 million conflict pool, which is available in Israel and the Occupied Territories. The UK also supports projects through the EU, such as through the EU Partnership for Peace programme, which aims to build trust and understanding in the region in order to create the conditions for peace. The Government remains engaged with a range of non-governmental organisations in order to take forward peace-building initiatives, including those focused on building trust.
more like this
