<p>The UK is undertaking a comprehensive cross-Government review of Protocol V ratification. It has taken longer than anticipated due to the complexities involved. The assessment is drawing to a close and we will provide an update in due course. The UK continues to abide by the spirit of the protocol and we remain committed to its humanitarian aims.</p>
