answer text <p>The Department, the National Health Service and Public Health England are committed to providing accurate and timely data in order to improve the transparency of the COVID-19 vaccine programme.</p><p> </p><p>Since 24 December 2020, we have published weekly data on the total number of vaccinations among those aged under 80 years old and over in England. From 11 January, daily data for the United Kingdom has been published showing the total number vaccinated to date, including first and second doses.</p><p>More detailed data of vaccinations by age group and region in England was published on 14 January. This will now be a weekly publication. As the programme develops it is hoped more reliable data will be able to be extracted and published.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Serco are required to appoint sub-contractors in line with the terms and conditions for the primary contract awarded under the CCS framework. The CCS guidance states that if a prime contractor wishes to enter into subcontracts or replace them, they must obtain the prior consent of the contracting authority. Serco have worked with the Cabinet Office and the Department to engage a spread of regional and national providers, including small and medium sized enterprises, who have been integrated, trained and supported by Serco to meet the Department’s required delivery model.</p> more like this

answer text <p>National Health Service patients are benefitting from an unprecedented partnership with private hospitals as we battle the COVID-19 outbreak. The Department and NHS England and NHS Improvement have worked with the independent sector to secure all appropriate inpatient capacity and other resource across England.</p><p>The addition of around 6,500 additional beds has increased NHS capacity and ensured that facilities are available for patients diagnosed with COVID-19 whilst ensuring continuity of service for non-COVID-19 patients requiring elective activity, including cancer and other urgent treatment.</p><p>Under the agreement, latest figures show that from 30 March until 30 August 2020 over 967,000 NHS patient appointments have taken place within independent facilities at an estimated cost of approximately £1billion.</p><p>It is not possible to estimate the cost to the public purse and size of the unused capacity and resource secured.</p><p><br></p> more like this

answer text <p>A COVID-19 risk assessment was carried out for the whole of the Departmental estate, including 39 Victoria Street and Quarry House, and the assessment was published to staff on 10 June 2020.</p><p>The risk assessment was carried out by the Deputy Director for Property and Smarter Working and signed off by the Department’s Executive Committee.</p><p>The COVID-safe capacity at 39 Victoria Street is 380 and at Quarry House it is 300. That represents approximately a 60% reduction in workplace capacity.</p><p>The Department worked with directors to identify individuals who needed to return to the office. These staff members have had discussions with line managers and been provided with access to a desk booking system as well as updates on the COVID-safety measures within Departmental buildings.</p><p> </p> more like this
