answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/03/2020 answer text <p>The purpose of the NHS Long Term Funding Bill is simply to enshrine in law the funding set out in the Long Term Plan, providing an extra £33.9 billion by 2023-24. That provides the National Health Service with the financial certainty it needs to get on and deliver the plan. The Bill does not set out the details of the plan itself or place restrictions on how the NHS should use the funding to support delivery.</p><p>However, at the heart of the NHS Long Term plan is the largest expansion of mental health services in a generation. This Government remains committed to putting mental health services on an equal footing with physical health. We are putting more money in and taking more action on mental health than any previous Government. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/02/2020 answer text <p>As part of the NHS Long Term Plan we have committed at least a further £2.3 billion a year to mental health services by 2023/24 meaning that spend on mental health will be growing faster than the overall National Health Service budget.</p><p>Based on core weighted population, an indicative allocation of £163.7m in clinical commissioning group (CCG) baseline investment and indicative allocation of £271.3 million in transformation funding will be made to North East London Sustainability and Transformation Partnership between 2019/20 to 2023/24, with Newham CCG modelled as receiving around 17.5% of this funding.</p><p>The Mental Health Investment Standard requires CCGs to increase the amount spent on mental health by at least as much as their overall budget increases. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/01/2019 answer text <p>The NHS Long Term Plan, published on 7 January, confirms that mental health will receive a growing share of the National Health Service budget, worth at least a further £2.3 billion a year in real terms by 2023/24.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan commitment to mental health is supported by draft clinical commissioning group allocations which were published on 10 January and include an updated mental health and learning disabilities formula. The Mental Health Investment Standard also requires commissioners to further increase their investment in mental health.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England will ensure fair distribution of funding. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/12/2018 answer text <p>The £963 million capital investment in sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) announced on 7 December 2018 is part of £2.9 billion capital funding made available to the National Health Service by the Government from 2017-18 to 2022-23 to modernise facilities and improve patient care. It is separate from the £20.5 billion revenue funding increase for the NHS announced on 18 June 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The 75 successful STP schemes announced included 13 mental health/learning disability schemes with a total value of £208 million. This is 22% of the overall £963 million funding made available.</p><p> </p><p>One of those 13 schemes is in Liverpool with £6.961 million awarded for child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for a 12 Bedded Tier 4 unit. This is for a purpose build facility to provide a North West centre of excellence for CAMHS inpatient services, supporting children with the most complex needs in the area.</p><p> </p><p>A second CAMHS scheme worth £2.807 million was awarded to Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for re-provision of current CAMHS Tier 4 inpatient provision at a new site. In total therefore £9.768 million has been awarded for CAMHS facilities.
