They confirm that all food and drink has to meet the Government Buying Standards, as well as their catering sub-contractor’s (Compass) own non-negotiable standards that have to be met in relation to animal welfare and quality assurance.</p><p> </p><p>In order to achieve this, Compass have a set of strict food sourcing standards that their suppliers have to adhere to. These are split up between:</p><p>• Dairy and eggs</p><p>• Fruit and Veg</p><p>• Animal Products</p><p>• Fish and Seafood</p><p>• Meat sourcing</p><p>• Grocery and Savoury</p><p> </p><p>For instance, for dairy liquid milk they state it must be from British Origin and red tractor assurance. All our eggs are cage free (liquid and shell). Currently, no decisions have been taken on potential changes.</p><p>As we develop any proposals, we will consider the interactions with the removal of the Work Capability Assessment. This was announced in the latest <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/announcements/work-and-health-programme-statistics-to-february-2024" target="_blank">Work and Health statistics release.</a></p><p> </p><p>This release will include statistics on starts, referrals and individual referrals to WHP Pioneer, which is part of the first phase of Universal Support (US). Statistics on job outcomes and first earnings from employment will be released in later publications.</p><p> </p><p>The Secretary of State has also committed to the publication of data for the Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care (IPSPC) provision as part of the first phase of US. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/05/2024 answer text <p>Employment statistics show the ethnic minority employment rate at 68%, up 9.2 percentage points on the same quarter in 2010, with 5.4m people from an ethnic minority background in employment which is a record high.</p><p> </p><p>The Department supports people to move into employment by providing access to a range of mainstream services and bespoke programmes that are designed to be flexible to individual needs. We also take targeted action where there is a high ethnic minority employment gap and work with partners, employers, and specific sectors to improve opportunities for all.</p><p> </p><p>The Youth Offer provides individually tailored Work Coach support to young people aged 16 to 24 who are claiming Universal Credit. This support includes the Youth Employment Programme, Youth Employability Coaches for young people with additional barriers to finding work, and Youth Hubs across Great Britain. This was expanded in 2023 to include additional young people on Universal Credit not currently searching for work, including young parents and carers.</p><p> </p><p>In April 2023, the Government's Equality Hub published updated <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/positive-action-in-the-workplace-guidance-for-employers/positive-action-in-the-workplace" target="_blank">guidance</a> for employers on how to use the positive action provisions in the Equality Act 2010.
