answer text <p>The Department for Work and Pensions is leading cross-government work to develop our forthcoming green paper on social justice. This will set out the Government’s approach to tackling child poverty and disadvantage and involves a wide range of policy and analytical staff from a number of key Departments including the Department for Education, the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department of Health. Many of these staff work flexibly, dependant on work flows, and as a result we are unable to provide an FTE figure.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department provides financial assistance for families affected by autism and Asperger’s syndrome through Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and the disability and carer premiums in the income-related benefits. We expect to make savings by merging the two offices through reduced running costs and making best use of both office space available and taxpayer’s money. answer text <p>There is no condition based entitlement to Employment Support Allowance.</p><p> </p><p>We will be working over the coming months with medical professionals and other stakeholders to develop functional criteria that will help us identify those with the most severe health conditions or disabilities, for whom repeat work capability assessments can be stopped.</p><p> </p><p>Rather than a list of specific medical conditions, the criteria will be based on identifying claimants with the most severe health conditions or disabilities where it would be unreasonable to expect the individual to undertake any form or amount of work or work-related activity. This change will only apply to those placed in the Support Group and UC equivalent.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There are currently around 11,000 work coaches across DWP in Wales, Scotland and England. By the end of March 2018 we plan to have around 2,500 more Work Coaches in Jobcentres in every nation and region of Great Britain. However, the final allocation of work coaches will be based on claimant activity and determined by need.</p><p> </p><p>The face to face support our work coaches offer at Jobcentres will continue to be a core part of the service we deliver.</p> more like this
