<p>There is currently no ring-fenced funding set aside for the implementation of Local
Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans, but there are a large number of other funding
avenues open to local authorities to support the delivery of their plans. These include
the Transforming Cities Fund, Future High Streets Fund, Housing Infrastructure Fund
and Clean Air Fund. In total, almost £2 billion is being invested in cycling and walking
over this Parliament, and spending on cycling and walking in England has doubled from
£3.50 per head to almost £7 per head over the current Spending Review period.</p><p>
</p><p>Decisions on future funding for cycling and walking will be made in the context
of the forthcoming Spending Review.</p><p> </p>
