answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/11/2020 answer text <p>My Department has published its assessment of the potential merits of investing in maritime decarbonisation, as set out below.</p><p>In 2015, the Department published the Maritime Growth Study, which considered all aspects of the maritime sector and identified where action could be taken to generate growth. Following the publication of Maritime 2050 in 2019, which builds on the findings of the Maritime Growth Study, the Department published the Clean Maritime Plan, which identified the potential for clean economic growth in the UK as a result of the transition to zero emission shipping.</p><p>Alongside the Plan, the Department published an assessment of the value of potential economic opportunities from low and zero emission shipping. The funding that has been allocated to each local authority in each year, for which figures are available, is detailed in the attached Excel spreadsheet.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, there has also been £9.5m of funding allocated to Derby and Nottingham as part of their Future of Transport Zone plans. This funding will be used for seven e-mobility hubs, which will include charging infrastructure. These are based in neighbourhoods, depots and campuses across the two cities. The primary reason is that the two-year validity is in place to ensure that a candidate’s theoretical knowledge and hazard perception skills are up to date at the critical point they drive on their own for the first time. Extending the validity would provide less reassurance that this is the case. Its priority is to help stop the spread of coronavirus and save lives.</p><p>The DVSA will contact candidates whose tests are affected by covid-19 restrictions and tell them what they need to do.</p><p>The DVSA has made an additional 55,000 practical car driving tests available up to 18 April 2021 to accommodate new and re-scheduled tests.
