answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/07/2017 answer text <p>Regulations are already in place prohibiting the misuse of drones and offences exist in order to deter and, if necessary, prosecute operators for malicious or negligent use. Under the Air Navigation Order 2016, it is an offence to endanger an aircraft and if convicted, a person can face a prison sentence of up to 5 years.</p><p> </p><p>The Government takes the safety risks of drones to aviation very seriously. We have already taken action on this by working with the Civil Aviation Authority and industry to raise awareness of the rules amongst drone operators and the general public. The Government intends to introduce further measures once we have fully analysed the evidence presented through our consultation process. We are exploring options, such as improving deterrents for the misuse of drones and measures to improve communication to drone users of ‘no drone flying zones’. These provisions were updated in 2014 and took effect for new machines from 2016.</p><p> </p><p>The European Commission is planning to introduce new legislation concerning emissions and noise from motorcycles. An independent research-based investigation is currently underway to establish the noise limits and these are expected to take effect in 2020. It is a shelf company that forms part of the Department’s standby arrangements and could be activated in the event that the Secretary of State is required to discharge his duties under Section 30 of the Railways Act 1993.</p><p> </p><p>The Civil Servants listed as Directors are Statutory Directors for the purposes of the Companies Acts. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/07/2017 answer text <p>The Clean Air Zone Framework, published on 5 May 2017, sets out the principles local authorities should follow when setting up Clean Air Zones in England.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s consultation on the draft Air Quality Plan set out that charging zones should only be used where local authorities are unable to identify equally effective alternatives. It is for local authorities to develop local proposals likely to achieve the air quality limits within the shortest possible time, taking into consideration the effects and impacts on local residents and businesses.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s consultation closed on 15 June and responses to the consultation are currently being considered.
