answer text <p>The Department for Transport provides funding to local highway authorities through a number of funding programmes. This funding includes grant through both the Highways Maintenance and Integrated Transport Block grants. This funding can be used to improve local roads that the authorities are responsible for if they so wish.</p><p> </p><p>The following tables provide the funding we have allocated to those authorities
