Since 2013, more than £11.6 million has been spent on developing the Gatwick Airport Station enhancement scheme, funded by the Department for Transport and Gatwick Airport Ltd (GAL). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2018 answer text <p>It is not possible to give a precise date when discussions first began about enhancing Gatwick Airport rail station.
