<p>A number of train companies are planning to relax peak travel restrictions over the Christmas period, including Avanti West Coast, London North Eastern Railway, CrossCountry and East Midlands Railways, while others are planning to lift restrictions on some services or on particular days such as Christmas Eve.</p>
