However we have not restricted the types of measures eligible local authorities could bid for funding for from the Clean Air Fund which supports local authorities with nitrogen dioxide exceedances. Bespoke advice, expertise and funding has already been provided. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/11/2015 answer text <p>In July this year, Defra prepared a voting brief for British MEPs concerning the revised National Emission Ceilings Directive. This advised MEPs to oppose an amendment which included the introduction of spot checks on vehicle emissions under real operating conditions, because the aim of the amendment and how it related to existing regimes was unclear.
