answer text <p> </p><p>The Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) received cross-government funding from the Department for Education, the Department of Health and the Ministry of Justice over four years (2008 -2010) to support its early pilot development. The Department for Education's contribution to this contract was £450,000.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department also gave additional funding (2010-2012) of £150,000 each year to develop both a financial sustainability model for the future and a blueprint for the roll-out of other FDAC pilots in other areas.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department is currently funding The Tavistock and Portman £150,000 in 2013-14 and 2014-15 to continue the development and roll out of the FDAC model. This money will be to enable FDAC to be developed further to be consistent with the revised Public Law Outline (PLO) 26-week time limit which came into force through the Children and Families Act 2014.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>No decisions have been taken about future funding beyond 2015.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p> </p><p>The Early Years Foundation Stage sets standards for learning, development and care. It is designed to be fully inclusive for all children and respond appropriately to the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), which can include cerebral palsy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education provides funding to Early Support and has provided guidance on practice for children with SEND for parents and others on cerebral palsy.</p><p> </p><p>This guidance, published in 2012, can be found online at:</p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.ncb.org.uk/media/923252/earlysupportcerebral_palsy_final.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.ncb.org.uk/media/923252/earlysupportcerebral_palsy_final.pdf</a></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The reforms in part 3 of Children and Families Act 2014 are designed to improve support for all children and young people with SEND. The 0-25 SEND Code of Practice which is currently being considered by Parliament has a specific section for early years providers which detail their statutory responsibilities and how they are expected to work together with partners in health and social care.</p>

answer text <p>The Government recently consulted on regulations and advice on the approval of independent inspectorates. We intend to commence the relevant provisions of the Education and Skills Act 2008 in September 2014, and introduce the new regulations and advice under those sections. The current approval of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) under the Education Act 2002 will cease to have effect, and as signalled in the consultation we intend to re-approve ISI under the 2008 Act. We will publish a response to the consultation shortly which will also set out the timescales for the implementation of changes.</p><p> </p><p>The 2008 Act also gives a basis in statute to Ofsted's quality assurance role. This role will continue, with Ofsted carrying out monitoring activities and reporting annually to the Secretary of State on the performance of the independent inspectorates.</p><p> </p><p>If, as a result of the revised agreement or for any other reason, ISI makes changes to their structure and operations, we would expect ISI to consult the schools it inspects before changes are introduced.</p><p> </p>
