The UK is taking robust action to tackle harmful online content, including antisemitism. Tech companies may already be held liable for illegal third party content that they host if they are aware of it and fail to remove it expeditiously. Tech companies that publish illegal content are already liable for it.</p><p>We also introduced the Online Safety Bill to Parliament on 17 March 2022 and it passed its second reading in the House of Commons on 19 April.</p><p>The Bill will give online companies, such as Spotify, new duties of care for user-generated content that they host on their service. Companies will have duties to prevent the proliferation of illegal content, including illegal hate speech, on their platform, and ensure that children who use their services are not exposed to harmful or inappropriate content. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/04/2022 answer text <p>Gigabit-capable networks can deliver the broadband services that businesses will rely on for decades to come, paving the way for new developments in commerce, trade and society and bringing benefits including improved productivity, jobs and economic growth</p><p>The <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1022091/Superfast_Broadband_summary_slidepack.pdf" target="_blank">2021 Evaluation of the Superfast Broadband Programme</a>, which primarily delivered broadband upgrades to rural areas, found that the programme has increased the annual turnover of local businesses by £1.9 billion per year. Ministerial decisions on eligibility criteria were taken on the basis of high quality, robust and publicly available data. This is funded from the Local Government settlement, which was over £12 billion last year. DCMS are currently reviewing the guidance associated with the statutory duty.</p><p>The Government recognises the vital role that youth services and activities play in improving the life chances and wellbeing of young people. The Government has committed to a National Youth Guarantee: that by 2025, every young person will have access to regular clubs and activities, adventures away from home and opportunities to volunteer. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/04/2022 answer text <p>We want all telecoms providers to be able to be a part of Project Gigabit, from small, specialist suppliers reaching hard-to-reach communities to larger firms able to tackle large areas at pace.</p><p>The Project Gigabit procurement process for the Shropshire area will commence shortly. Market engagement in advance of the procurement has confirmed strong interest from a number of suppliers including SMEs and the procurement approach will be designed to utilise this as effectively as possible.</p><p>Alongside Project Gigabit procurements, the £210m <a href="https://gigabitvoucher.culture.gov.uk/" target="_blank">Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme</a> is also a key tool in incentivising and encouraging suppliers to connect some of the hardest to reach premises in the UK. To date, over 220 premises in Shropshire have claimed and received payment for a voucher through the scheme, with a further 590 premises awaiting completion, for a combined value of over £2.5m. Shropshire Council has also invested £2m into a local top-up scheme that further increases the level of funding available for voucher projects.</p><p>As a direct result of voucher funding, over 140 telecoms providers are currently actively building in challenging rural areas. The responsibility of providing this access lies at Local Authority level, and the government continues to encourage Local Authorities to invest in swimming facilities.</p><p>We recognise the impact rising energy prices will have on businesses of all sizes. Ofgem and the government are in regular contact with business groups and suppliers to understand the challenges they face and explore ways to protect consumers and businesses.</p><p>The prices offered by energy suppliers are commercial decisions based mainly on the wholesale prices of gas and electricity in the UK’s energy markets. The Government does not set these prices. The current increase in wholesale gas and electricity prices reflect movements in global commodity markets, driven by the rapid and substantial recovery of global energy demand since the beginning of the pandemic.</p><p>Sport England continues to support swimming and diving, investing over £24,575,700 since January 2017, including £16,119,002 of funding directly to Swim England.
