answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/01/2020 answer text <p>As outlined in our Digital Strategy, the Government’s ambition is to ensure the UK is the best place in the world to start and grow a digital business.</p><p>To support access to finance, the Government has introduced a new £2.5 billion British Patient Capital programme, which is expected to attract a further £5 billion in private investment. This will support UK companies with high growth potential to access the long-term investment they need to grow and internationalise.</p><p>To continue to attract international talent, the Government has: doubled the number of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visas to 2,000; taken doctors and nurses out of the Tier 2 visa cap, increasing the number of skilled worker visas available to other sectors, including tech; and launched the new Start-Up and Innovator visa routes for entrepreneurs. In addition, the Government has committed to introducing a new 2 year visa route for individuals who graduate from UK higher education providers.</p><p>The Government continues to fund Tech Nation, supporting their work to accelerate the growth of the digital tech sector across the country. Tech Nation deliver growth programmes for the sector aimed at stages across the business lifecycle, with programme alumni including Monzo, Deliveroo and Funding Circle. In the past year, Tech Nation have started sector-specific growth programmes in AI and Cyber, in addition to their FinTech programme. In 2019, Tech Nation's growth programmes supported 649 tech companies. Tech Nation have a regional network of 11 Entrepreneur Engagement Managers (EEMs) working across the UK to support entrepreneurs, startups and scaleups to access their programmes and networks.</p><p>Finally, at London Tech Week 2019, the PM launched a study into the competitiveness of the UK Tech Sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/01/2020 answer text <p>Government’s strategy on tackling loneliness in England includes a range of new policies that are benefiting people across England, including in Hounslow. This includes improving and expanding social prescribing and running a new communications campaign on social connection.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Government established the £11.5m Building Connections Fund in 2018. This funds 126 projects across England that bring people and communities together. 15 grants, totalling £1.25m, have been made to projects in London. This includes a £93,000 grant to the Afghanistan &amp; Central Asian Association for a project based in Hounslow offering activities such as tea sessions, one to one mentoring and social events.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In October 2019 the Minister for Civil Society announced £2m of new grant funding for frontline organisations tackling loneliness. This uses a unique premises reference number, which is how the individual sites in a procurement are defined. This is allocated at planning permission stage so they could theoretically be included, however there would only be a benefit in doing so if the build timescales aligned to the proposed intervention of that particular project</p><p> </p><p>In the recent Queen’s Speech, there was reference to our intention to bring forward secondary legislation in relation to new build. If successful this would compel developers to work with network providers to make gigabit capable infrastructure available from day one. We understand also that the circumstances of individual trips to the EU are significantly varied, and that changes based on our leaving the EU will be different for each organisation or professional. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/10/2019 answer text <p>We have seven programmes that have been funded in and around Hounslow through the #iwill Fund, including the Our Barn Youth Club and the Uprising Leadership Group.</p><p> </p><p>We recognise the importance of investing in our young people, and so in September this year the Chancellor announced a £500 million Youth Investment fund over five years. This will help build up to 60 new youth centres and refurbish hundreds of existing youth facilities across the country, as well as providing over 100 mobile facilities for harder to reach areas.
