answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>In 2016, the creative industries employed 2 million people and made up 5% of the UK’s total GVA. Securing a strong and diverse intake of skills and talent is key to the sector's continued success and that is why Government is committed to ensuring children enjoy a broad curriculum, including music. Recognising the importance of music, the Government is spending £300m between 2016-20 on music education hubs alongside a range of other arts and cultural educational programmes. In January 2019, DfE announced an additional £1.33 million funding for music education hubs and that an independent panel would be working with Government to create a model music curriculum.</p><p> </p><p>Sir Peter Bazalgette's 2017 independent review of the creative industries concluded that social and informational barriers to entry are inhibiting the growth and greater productivity of the sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/09/2018 answer text Protecting children and the vulnerable from being harmed or exploited by gambling is a core objective of the regulation of gambling in Great Britain, and a priority for the government. Operators offering gambling services to people in Great Britain must have a licence from the Gambling Commission and must have effective policies and procedures designed to prevent underage gambling. The Gambling Commission has a range of powers to act in the case of failure, including the power to suspend or revoke a licence, impose financial penalties or prosecute criminal offences. The Review of Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility set out measures to increase existing protections around online gambling and gambling advertising. The Gambling Commission is currently consulting on strengthening age verification protections for online gambling. The Government has made over £200bn available to local authorities to spend on local services over this Spending Review.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to making sure young people have opportunities to develop their skills and participate in their communities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2017 answer text <p>As part of the work on the Digital Charter announced in the Queen’s Speech, the Government is considering a range of options to counter internet harms. This includes an Internet Safety Strategy which will look at how we can support users so that everyone can access the benefits of the Internet safely. The Strategy, which was published by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on 11 October, considers the responsibilities of companies to their users, the use of technical solutions to prevent online harms and government’s role in supporting users. The Strategy includes a public consultation on the proposed measures.</p><p> </p><p>DCMS will work closely with the Department of Health and the Department for Education on their upcoming joint Children and Young People’s Mental Health Green Paper.
