answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/12/2020 answer text <p>Cryptoassets are not illegal, but licensed gambling operators are only permitted to accept them as a payment method where they are able to ensure they are compliant with all Gambling Commission licence conditions and requirements, including anti-money laundering and safer gambling measures.</p><p>Operators are required to declare any changes to the arrangements through which they accept payment from customers to the Commission. This includes changes to the payment methods (including cryptoassets) or payment processors made available to customers to pay for gambling services. To date, no licensed operators have notified the Gambling Commission that they are accepting digital currencies or cryptoassets directly as payments but several have reported indirectly accepting funds derived from cryptoassets via a third party payment provider. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/12/2020 answer text <p>As the Prime Minister said on 23 November national restrictions ended on Wednesday 2 December, and gyms and sport facilities will reopen across all tiers. As set out in the COVID Winter Plan the decision to allocate tiers is based on a range of factors and will be reviewed every 14 days. In Tier 3 areas we have taken further measures to limit social interactions and therefore opportunities for the virus to spread.</p><p>Outdoor organised sport can resume, but the Government will advise against contact sports with a higher risk of transmission, although these can still go ahead for under 18s and disabled groups. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/12/2020 answer text <p>Fraudulent calls can have significant and devastating impacts on people’s lives, particularly the most vulnerable in society. As well as being a nuisance, cold calling is the most common method used to initiate fraud, especially relating to pensions. That’s why the government has taken action to ban pension cold calling.</p><p>HM Treasury has introduced a ban on pension cold calling in order to reduce the chance of individual’s being enticed into fraudulent schemes.</p><p>Further to this, Home Office has collaborated with UK Finance to run the Take Five fraud awareness campaign. The campaign is designed to equip the public to challenge fraudulent approaches with confidence – be they face-to-face, on the telephone or online.</p><p>The Government continues to work on practical solutions to address nuisance and scam calls. DCMS have provided over £1 million in the last 3 years to the National Trading Standards for distribution of call blocking devices to vulnerable people. Outdoor skating rinks can stay open across all tiers and indoor skating rinks can open in Tiers 1 and 2.</p><p>Under Tier 3, Ice Rinks are able to open for disability sport, sports as part of the curriculum in education and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s (including those who were under 18 on 31 August 2020). Elite and professional athletes may continue to use facilities including ice rinks to train and to compete Behind Closed Doors.</p><p>Government has published overarching guidance for grassroots sport but does not publish guidance for individual sports. It is for the National Governing Body of the sport to consider the steps that would need to be taken, and the conditions that would need to be met, for their activity to resume. No assessment is currently available regarding the potential effects of stage 5 reopening taking place after April 2021.</p><p>From 2 December, in Tier 1 and 2 areas, socially distanced indoor audiences are permitted provided capacity in a venue is maintained at maximum 50% capacity or 1000 people, whichever is lower. Outdoor events can take place in line with Covid secure guidance with a capacity limit of the lower of 50% or 4000 in Tier 1 and 50% or 2000 in Tier 2.</p><p>DCMS has established a Venues Steering Group and a sector-led sub-group on Outdoor Events and Festivals looking at how music venues and festivals can reopen with fuller audiences, in line with stage 5 of the Performing Arts roadmap.</p><p>The Government has always been clear that moving forward with the performing arts roadmap is dependent on the prevalence of COVID-19, and that the measures that are in place are to ensure the safety of the public.</p><p>We are committed to continue working with the live music sector to understand the challenges they face and to work towards reopening events with fuller audiences.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency Gosport answering member printed Caroline Dinenage question first answered 10/12/2020 16:09:00 answering member 4008 label Biography information for Dame Caroline Dinenage

In August 2020 ONS published data stating that 96% of households in Great Britain had internet access, up from 93% in 2019 and from 57% in 2006. According to this dataset the number of adult non-users of the internet is now 2.7 million, down from 3.9 million in 2019. The 2019 Oxford Internet Survey also shows that internet use has stabilised at very close to 100 percent for almost everyone below the age of 50, and at over 90 percent for everyone with an income of at least £20,000 per year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/12/2020 answer text <p>To date, I have not had discussions with the Secretary of State for Transport on the Automated Lane Keeping System. Work on the Automated Lane Keeping system, including the development of an approach to ensure its safe use in the UK, is being led by the Department for Transport. The Government published a Call for Evidence in August which covered both access to data and driver education. As set out in the Call for Evidence, access to data will be subject to the requirements of national law - including data protection legislation.
