answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/11/2018 answer text <p>We recognise the significant contribution design makes to the UK economy,</p><p>particularly as a key factor in the production of services and goods across a wide range of sectors. According to DCMS economic estimates design and designer fashion exports in 2016 were £380m, a 9.6% increase from 2015.</p><p> </p><p>The Design Council produced a report into the Design Economy in 2018 which estimates that in 2015 the total value of exports where design had made a key contribution was £48.4 billion. This meeting included a discussion of the changes to stakes on B2 Gaming Machines. I have discussed this issue with a number of other colleagues. There was no discussion of the commercial takeover of Ladbrokes. As set out in the White Paper on our future relationship with the EU, the UK will make a sovereign choice to seek reciprocal mobility arrangements with the EU in a defined number of areas, for example to allow business professionals to move to provide services, or tourists to continue to travel visa-free. Evidence provided to the Strategy suggested that the requirements of the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 are often treated as an afterthought. Our engagement included focused workshops with a number of local authorities and their stakeholders, to explore opportunities of and barriers to social value in the procurement process.
