My department is keen to raise the profile of women's sport in the media and encourage more commercial investment into women's sport. Since the Olympics in 2012, there has been a notable increase in the coverage of women's sport on terrestrial television, including the 2017 UEFA Women's European Championships and the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/09/2017 answer text <p>The government's sport strategy sets out our plans to get more people active, in particular in under-represented groups, including women.</p><p> </p><p>Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign, and other initiatives, have helped to narrow the gender gap in sport participation.
