answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2020 answer text <p>The estimate of the number of companies that will be in scope of the Online Harms framework is based on a sample of data from the Inter-Departmental Business Register (IDBR). The IDBR is a comprehensive list of UK businesses used by the government for statistical purposes.</p><p> </p><p>The sample was designed to ensure that it was sufficiently large and had sufficient representation of organisations of different sizes in order for the results to be robust. For each organisation in the sample, we reviewed whether it offers activities that may fall within the scope of the regulation, and on that basis do not believe that more than 5% of UK businesses will be in scope. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/05/2020 answer text <p>The Department’s assessment of economic effects, especially in relation to regional and wider impacts, are completed in line with <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/685903/The_Green_Book.pdf" target="_blank">Green Book guidance</a> issued by HM Treasury on how to appraise policies, programmes and projects. The Department routinely develops internal and published analysis (broken down by locality where relevant) for its interventions. The evaluation includes effects by devolved administration. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/06/2020 answer text <p>It is not possible to quantify the proportion of current and planned 5G networks that are safety-related, safety-critical networks and security-critical network functions.</p><p>Safety-related and safety-critical networks in non-telecoms Critical National Infrastructure do not relate to public 5G networks.</p><p>Security-critical network functions in the 5G network relate to the sensitive ‘core’ of the mobile network. As no public networks have deployed a 5G core, it is not possible to calculate what proportion of the current 5G networks are covered by the ‘core’. Commercial decisions on the design and make-up of future 5G networks rests with the individual operators.
