answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2018 answer text <p>My Department works closely with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to develop policies that improve well-being.</p><p>The ONS wellbeing estimates are incorporated into the DCMS Taking Part Survey. This annual survey is commissioned to provide an evidence source on participation in culture and sport and collects data on well being. The survey is currently used to measure and inform departmental indicators, inform the formulation of DCMS policy, and to understand the drivers of participation in cultural and sporting activities.</p><p>Policy formulation also includes policy evaluation. ONS personal well-being data is used to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of policy interventions. A recent example is the National Citizen Service. The reported personal well being of young people before and after their participation in the service has been evaluated. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/09/2018 answer text Protecting children and the vulnerable from being harmed or exploited by gambling is a core objective of the regulation of gambling in Great Britain, and a priority for the government. Operators offering gambling services to people in Great Britain must have a licence from the Gambling Commission and must have effective policies and procedures designed to prevent underage gambling. The Gambling Commission has a range of powers to act in the case of failure, including the power to suspend or revoke a licence, impose financial penalties or prosecute criminal offences. The Review of Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility set out measures to increase existing protections around online gambling and gambling advertising. The Gambling Commission is currently consulting on strengthening age verification protections for online gambling.
