The Government supports a number of programmes which enable volunteering opportunities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>The Community Life Survey 2017-18, published on 26 July 2018, reports a 4% decrease in the number of people involved in social action in their local area at least once in the last year since 2013-14, and a 5% decrease in the number of people taking part in formal volunteering at least once a month since 2013-14.</p><p> </p><p>As a result of moving from a face-to-face interview to an online form, it is difficult to compare the Community Life Survey 2017-18 with the results from 2013-14 due to potential skews in the types of respondents and the absence of interviewer effects.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has invested significantly in programmes to increase meaningful volunteering and social action. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>Volunteering gives people a unique opportunity to shape society and share their skills, and DCMS is working closely with other Government departments, charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises to promote the ways that people can give back to their communities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>Setting executive pay is a matter for a charity’s trustees to determine, acting in the best interests of their charity. In doing so the charity trustees need to consider a number of factors, including securing value for money for the charity, and the impact of their decisions on public trust. Charities should also be transparent about executive pay so that members of the public can decide whether or not they want to support the charity. Larger charities must already report some information on executive pay through their trustees’ annual report. The Charity Commission will update its annual return to require information from charities on executive pay, which will be made more easily accessible to the public on the register of charities.</p><p> </p><p>In July 2018, the Charity Commission for England and Wales published a report into public trust and confidence in charities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2018 answer text <p>The London Legacy Development Corporation, the body responsible for the regeneration of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and surrounding area following the London 2012 Games, owns the assets on the Park and is responsible for their disposal.</p><p> </p><p>To date the Legacy Corporation has entered into agreements for the development of three housing neighbourhoods on the Park – Chobham Manor, East Wick and Sweetwater – for which it has so far received £49 million in deposits and land receipts.</p><p> </p><p>In addition the Olympic Park Legacy Company, the Legacy Corporation's predecessor, sold land at Sugar House Lane near to the Park for £19.5m in 2011.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Total revenue to date is, therefore, £68.5 million.</p><p> </p><p>Future receipts will be generated as the housing sites under construction are built out and agreements are entered into for the development of additional housing sites at Stratford Waterfront, Pudding Mill and Rick Roberts Way.</p><p> </p><p>The Legacy Corporation granted a long-term lease in 2014 for the site of the former Press and Broadcast Centre, Here East, and long-term leases will be let to the institutions involved in the planned culture and education district (East Bank) located on the south of the Park.</p> answering member constituency Chatham and Aylesford answering member printed Tracey Crouch question first answered 05/09/2018 10:05:12 answering member 3950 label Biography information for Dame Tracey Crouch

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2018 answer text The Fundraising Regulator, the independent non-statutory regulator of charitable fundraising, launched the Fundraising Preference Service (FPS) on 7 July 2017. The FPS enables people to more easily opt out of charity fundraising requests. For the first full year that the FPS has been in operation, it has had 6,619 unique users of the service with 19,583 requests to stop communication from specified charities. Over 25% of the requests were for a person other than the person making the request, indicating that the FPS is providing an important service to vulnerable and elderly people who may need other people to make requests on their behalf. The Fundraising Regulator has said that it intends to let the FPS to operate for another year before it reviews its effectiveness.
