answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/07/2017 answer text <p>The UK will seek to protect the ability of individuals who are eligible for a UK European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), before the specified date, to continue to benefit from free, or reduced cost, needs-arising healthcare while on a temporary stay in the EU. This is subject to the EU agreeing that these rights will be reciprocated by EU member states. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2017 answer text <p>We have regular discussions with the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union and other Cabinet colleagues about the implications of EU exit on the tourism sector. The policy paper published on 26 June set out that the Government will seek to protect the right of UK nationals and EU citizens to obtain and benefit from the European Health Insurance Card scheme.
