<p>We have invested in product development through the Coastal Communities and Revival
Funds which recently announced a further £63m of funding, and the £40m Discover England
Fund. We are also negotiating the proposed Tourism Sector Deal with the industry which
aims to improve productivity. The House of Lords Select Committee recently reported
on Regenerating Seaside Towns and we will be responding to any tourism related recommendations
in due course.</p><p> </p><p>Our arms-length body VisitBritain (VB) also markets the
UK internationally, using campaigns such as “I travel for…” and #MyMicroGap. Additionally
VB work with coastal Destination Management Organisations around the country, including
sitting on the Coastal Tourism Leadership Forum to identify challenges and opportunities
as they arise.</p>
