Data sharing arrangements are established between government departments where necessary for a range of reasons such as improving public services, combating fraud and reducing public burden in providing data more than once. Where required a department may look to recover costs for sharing data for reasons such as feasibility, development and delivery of technical solutions that enable the secure sharing of data.<p> </p>
