answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/02/2023 answer text <p>Cashless payments via digital apps, ticket in ticket out systems and debit card payments at cash desks are currently permitted in the land-based gambling sector. It is also possible to pay for chips at a casino gaming table by turning away from the table and completing a debit card transaction with a staff member.</p><p>Secondary legislation (The Gaming Machine (Circumstances of Use) Regulations 2007) currently prohibits the use of debit cards for payment at machine games. However, the government is considering issues around payment mechanisms as part of its wide-ranging Review of the Gambling Act. These reforms were reviewed 12 months after they were implemented. The results of the review were published in March 2022, and can be accessed on the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/review-of-society-lottery-sales-and-prize-limits/one-year-review-of-society-lotteries-sales-and-prize-limits" target="_blank">gov.uk</a> website. The review concluded that it was too soon to reach any firm view on the impact of the changes, especially during a time when the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic made evaluation more difficult, and that more data on annual growth of the sector were required before considering any further changes. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2023 answer text <p>His Majesty’s Government recognises the importance of tourism and the value, as well as enjoyment, brought by the promotion of domestic holidays. As set out in the Tourism Recovery Plan, the Government is committed to recovering the pre-pandemic volume and expenditure of domestic visitors, and to ensuring that the benefits of tourism are spread to every part of the UK.</p><p>Tourism is a devolved matter: VisitEngland, VisitWales and VisitScotland therefore have responsibility for supporting the domestic visitor economy in their respective parts of the country. VisitBritain promotes the United Kingdom as a whole, and the Government works alongside it to promote the UK as a tourist destination, both domestically and internationally.</p><p>The Department for Culture, Media and Sport funds the British Tourism Association, which comprises VisitEngland and VisitBritain, by around £27 million per annum, of which VisitEngland receives c. £7 million. VisitEngland helps promote the UK as a tourist destination domestically through marketing campaigns such as its £5 million, UK-wide ‘Escape the Everyday’ campaign, which ran in 2022. This highlighted the quality destinations, visitor attractions, and experiences on offer across the UK’s cities, countryside, and coast to boost domestic tourism.</p><p>VisitEngland promotes year-round tourism experiences, encouraging a regional and seasonal variety highlighting lesser-visited areas. A specialist external review, commissioned by the University, concluded that a multi-million-pound investment would be required to address these issues if the National Glass Centre were to remain at its current location. As a result, and considering value for money, the University’s Board of Governors decided to identify an alternative location. The University is now exploring a variety of options with key partners including Sunderland Culture (which has been offered public funding as part of Arts Council England’s national portfolio) and Sunderland City Council to establish suitable sites. Tennis Ireland is the internationally recognised governing body for tennis in the Republic of Ireland and also has the responsibility for promoting and supporting tennis in Northern Ireland.</p><p>It is not currently possible for a club to be affiliated to both Tennis Ireland and the Lawn Tennis Association. If a club in Northern Ireland wished to affiliate to the Lawn Tennis Association, that would be a matter for such a club to raise with the LTA directly.
