answer text <p>The Secretary of State announced in the white paper that the government would explore the potential for regulating the largest prize draws and competitions that sit outside of gambling regulation.</p><p>The Gambling Commission monitors products such as those which sit outside the boundary of regulated gambling.</p><p>We are working closely with Gambling Commission on implementing the white paper, including gathering evidence and considering options on prize draws.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has taken action to support charities across the country.</p><p>The Energy Bill Relief Scheme provided charities and voluntary organisations with support for their energy bills up to 31 March 2023, and they continue to receive support under the Energy Bill Discount Scheme.</p><p>As announced in the Spring Budget, the Government will provide over £100 million of support for charities and community organisations. This will be targeted towards those organisations most at risk from cost of living pressures, due to increased demand and higher delivery costs, as well as providing investment in energy efficiency. The funding will be open for applications from across England, including from charities in Enfield North constituency, the London Borough of Enfield and London.</p><p>Work is underway to finalise the delivery time frames and eligibility criteria. Further details will be announced as soon as possible.</p> more like this

answer text <p>It is not possible to use a credit card to play the National Lottery online or via the National Lottery smartphone application.</p><p>Licence conditions for gambling operators make clear that, where businesses take deposits via an electronic wallet, they must ensure that the money was not loaded from a credit card. If they cannot verify this, they must not accept the deposit.</p><p>Shoppers can use credit cards to buy National Lottery and society lottery products in retailers, recognising the lower risk posed by lottery products relative to other gambling products – along with the controls which are already in place, such as the training provided to retailers.</p><p>There are currently no plans to change this position under the 4th National Lottery licence but, in any case, the licence increases player protection requirements.</p> more like this
