Ministers attended the Touring Working Group in June to hear directly from the sector.</p><p>Nearly all Member States offer visa and work permit free routes for creatives. Business should be free to compete on matters such as quality, service and product pricing.</p><p>Provided consumers are not misled and able to make informed decisions, companies offering goods and services are free to offer their products and services under conditions of their choosing and consumers are able to choose those products and services or shop elsewhere for products and services which meet their requirements.</p><p>The Government is committed to supporting the tourism industry which is why we published the Tourism Recovery Plan in June 2021. It sets out the role of the government in assisting and accelerating the tourism sector’s recovery from COVID-19. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/07/2022 answer text <p>We recognise the importance of ensuring public access to leisure facilities, including swimming pools, which are great spaces for people of all ages to stay fit and healthy. We are committed to supporting these facilities to transition to renewable energy sources.</p><p>The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides grants for public sector bodies to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures. The scheme supports the aim of reducing emissions from public sector buildings by 75% by 2037, as set out in the Heat and Buildings Strategy and the Net Zero Strategy in October 2021.</p><p>Leisure centres are eligible for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. For example last year, during Phase 3a, Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council was awarded £1,728,500 to decarbonise the swimming pool at Todmorden Sports Centre.</p><p>The next application window to the scheme, Phase 3b, is planned to open in September, with the guidance published beforehand.</p><p>Sport England are also able to provide guidance on sustainable design formats for leisure centres. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2022 answer text <p>The Government is clear there is no room for racism or any type of discrimination in sport or wider society. National Governing Bodies (NGBs) are responsible for the governance of their sports. We are working closely with our arm’s length bodies, UK Sport and Sport England, and NGBs themselves to ensure discrimination is tackled effectively.</p><p>UK Sport and Sport England’s Code for Sport Governance sets out the levels of transparency, accountability and integrity that are required from those organisations in receipt of public funding, this includes having appropriate policies in place. UK Sport provides guidance for sports on whistleblowing and confidential disclosure.</p><p>UK Sport launched a new independent disclosure and complaints service pilot called <a href="https://www.sportintegrity.com/" target="_blank">Sport Integrity</a> in May 2022. The pilot will assist athletes, athlete support personnel and NGB staff, within Olympic and Paralympic high-performance programmes, to uphold the highest standards of conduct in their sports. It will provide an independent and confidential reporting line and an independent investigation process to deal with relevant allegations of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abuse, and to allow sports to take the appropriate disciplinary action as necessary. However, the government recognises that more should be done to tackle the devastating effects caused by fraudulent online advertisements that are placed.</p><p>The Online Safety Bill includes a standalone duty on the largest online platforms and search services (Category 1 and 2A services) to prevent the publication of fraudulent adverts on their services.</p><p>In addition, the Online Advertising Programme will look at the entire online advertising ecosystem in relation to fraud, as well as other harms caused by online advertising. It will consider the role of all actors not currently covered by regulation. This includes our Online Safety Bill, the G7 work on open societies, and our work on press freedom and sustainability.</p><p>We introduced the Online Safety Bill on 17 March 2022. It has recently passed its Commons Committee stage and will begin the Report stage shortly. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/07/2022 answer text <p>The Government is delivering the biggest broadband upgrade in UK history. Currently, 69% of UK premises can access gigabit-capable broadband, continuing a rate of incremental growth in line with meeting the target of at least 85% gigabit-capable coverage across the country by 2025. This is not the limit of our ambitions and we will continue to work closely with the industry to get close to complete gigabit coverage as quickly as we can thereafter.</p><p>To support this, we are investing £5 billion through Project Gigabit so hard-to-reach areas can get ultra-reliable gigabit speeds. We have already upgraded coverage to over 600,000 premises, and we have over half a billion of pounds of contracts out for tender right now.</p><p>In addition to our Project Gigabit contracts, we are investing up to £210 million in the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme to support rural communities with the cost of installing new gigabit-capable connections.</p><p>We are also providing funding to connect rural public buildings like schools, GP surgeries and libraries. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/07/2022 answer text <p>On 23 June my department laid a statutory instrument to amend the Television Licences Act 2000, that will ease the administrative burden put on eligible over-75s when applying for a free licence.</p><p>Under the new plans the BBC will be able to automatically verify whether a person applying for a free TV Licence is on Pension Credit with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
