question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, whether she plans to put in place provisions for community activities for children and young people during the 2022 summer holidays.

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2022 answer text <p>Local Authorities have a statutory duty to allocate funding to youth services in line with local need, this includes provision during the summer holidays. This is funded from the Local Government settlement, which was over £12 billion last year.</p><p>DCMS has been working closely with the Department for Education on the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, which will provide disadvantaged children and families with access to healthy food and enriching activities during the longer school holidays. This includes a range of ongoing policies, for example, supporting free-entry to Museums and Galleries and numerous English Heritage historic monuments, buildings and sites. We are also encouraging sporting bodies to enable access to major sporting events for people, particularly children, from more deprived backgrounds.
