answer text
All current tolled roads, bridges and tunnels in England are locally or privately operated, and the Department does not hold data on fines issued by those undertakings. The only road operated by National Highways where a road user charge is applied is the A282 Dartford Crossing; drivers must pay this charge beforehand or by midnight the day after crossing. In 2021-22, 2,154,092 penalty charge notices were issued for non-payment of the Dart Charge.
more like this

This contains data on the frequency of port calls per year, and vessel type, meaning that the scope of preferred option in the consultation Impact Assessment, covering ropax and roro vessels calling in UK ports at least weekly, covers 64,000 vessel-journeys (based on the 2019 data). The Impact Assessment also utilises vessel-level data on port calls frequency, however, as this vessel-data is commercially sensitive, the Department does not publish it.

As part of that plan we have been working with HMRC and BEIS on matters relating to the National Minimum Wage.

HMRC are responsible for the enforcement of National Minimum Wage within UK territorial waters and continue to target their enforcement activity by investigating any ferry operators, who are within scope of UK National Minimum Wage legislation, that they suspect do not pay their workers correctly.
