We are a tolerant and welcoming multicultural society. There is no excuse for targeting British Asian communities or anyone of any other background in this country. We have one of the strongest legal frameworks in the world to report, record and prosecute hate crime. I would encourage anyone who experiences hate crime to report it to the police.</p><p>The Government’s Hate Crime Action Plan, published in October 2018, sets out a comprehensive programme of work across Government and the police. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/03/2020 answer text <p>In response to the recent storms, Government activated the Bellwin Scheme of emergency financial assistance on 10 February and extended this to more areas on 17 February. Ministers also activated the Flood Recovery Framework on 18 February, with support being provided to eligible local authorities to help local residents and businesses affected by the storms. Government has also announced the Property Flood Resilience Scheme to help homes and businesses become more resilient to flooding. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/03/2020 answer text <p>The National Planning Policy Framework sets out that local planning policies and decisions should limit the impact of light pollution from artificial light. The Framework is supported by our planning guidance, revised in November last year, which sets out how environmental and other impacts of light pollution should be considered in the planning system. Local planning authorities must take the Framework into account when preparing their plans and its policies - including those on light pollution - also need to be considered in making individual planning decisions. <br> <br> Light must also be considered for the relatively small number of developments that fall under the category of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) development. Under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, developments which, due to their nature, size or location are likely to have significant effects on the environment must be subject to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process before planning permission can be granted.
