To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the response by the Earl of Courtown on 20 June (HL Deb, cols 899–900), what action they have taken as a result of the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Situation of human rights in Yemen, including violations and abuses since September 2014, published on 17 August 2018.

<p>We remain deeply concerned about the human rights situation in Yemen and will continue to work with all parties to find a political solution to the conflict. This will help create the conditions for the legitimate Government to improve its capacity to protect human rights.</p><p>Yemen is a human rights priority country for the UK. In the 2018 Foreign and Commonwealth Office Human Rights and Democracy Report, which was released in June, we highlighted our concerns over women’s rights including girls’ education, the recruitment of child soldiers, arbitrary detention, and attacks on freedom of religion or belief and on freedom of speech and association.</p>
