This will be the largest increase ever.</p><p> </p><p>The Daphne Jackson Trust and the Wellcome Trust are independent charities that do not receive Government funding for their core activities. We have developed and maintain close relationships with both organisations and have supported and worked in partnership with them on specific projects.</p><p> </p><p>Through its fellowships the Daphne Jackson Trust supports researchers to retrain and return after a career break of two or more years taken for family, caring or health reasons. The Department increased stockholding through its national procurement and logistics operation, NHS Supply Chain, as part of its contingency arrangements for the UK leaving the EU without a deal. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government is committed to ensuring that older people receive the support they are entitled to and the DWP targets activity on engaging with people who may be eligible to benefits at pivotal stages, such as when they claim State Pension or report a change in their circumstances. The DWP uses a wide range of channels to communicate information about benefits to potential customers; including information on <a href="https://gov.uk/" target="_blank">https://gov.uk/</a>, in leaflets and by telephone. People wishing to claim Pension Credit can do so by calling 0800 99 1234. DWP staff in Pension Centres and Jobcentres including visiting officers are able to provide help and advice about entitlement to benefits, as are staff in Local Authorities who administer Housing Benefit.</p><p> </p><p>One of the best ways to reach eligible customers is through trusted stakeholder working in the community and we have developed the Pension Credit toolkit, as an on-line tool for agencies and welfare rights organisations to use in order to encourage Pension Credit take-up. It can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pension-credit-toolkit" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pension-credit-toolkit</a></p><p> </p><p>The toolkit contains resources for anyone working with pensioners and includes guides to Pension Credit. It also contains publicity material and guidance designed to help older people understand how they could get Pension Credit and help organisations support someone applying for Pension Credit as well as ideas for encouraging take-up. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/04/2019 answer text <p>The Government is committed to supporting people of all incomes and at all stages of life to save.</p><p> </p><p>Older people will continue to benefit from a number of measures the Government has introduced in recent years.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has increased the amount that individuals, including older people and those of State Pension age, can earn or receive in savings interest before paying income tax to £12,500 per year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/04/2019 answer text <p>The government is committed to taking action against all forms of child exploitation.</p><p>The department has commissioned the new ‘Tackling Child Exploitation’ support programme to provide dedicated expertise, advice and practical support to safeguarding partners in local areas to help them develop an effective multi-agency response to a range of child exploitation threats including child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation.</p><p> </p><p>By June 2019 all local areas are required to publish new multi-agency safeguarding arrangements that will safeguard and promote the well-being of all children in their area. Under the new duty, the local authority, police and health must work together to put in place robust arrangements to respond to all safeguarding concerns that affect their area, including child criminal exploitation. They will report their actions and progress in their published annual reports.</p><p> </p><p>To support local practitioners in preventing children and young people from being criminally exploited statutory safeguarding guidance documents ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ were revised last year to reflect extra familial threats to children<strong>. </strong>Exploitation threats to children were also reflected in our communications campaign ‘Together We Can Tackle Child Abuse’.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education is making Relationships Education compulsory in all primary schools, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) compulsory in all secondary schools and Health Education compulsory in all state-funded schools, from September 2020. New content, that all children and young people will be taught, includes exploitation. In addition, the department is taking action to tackle persistent absence, reviewing exclusions practice, updating school security guidance and improving the quality of our schools and children’s social care services. The requirement to complete this training is part of the employment contract for each employee and it is the responsibility of individual health and social care employer organisations to ensure that their workforce complete it.</p><p>In addition, the Department has also put £2 million over 2018/19 and 2019/20 behind expanding a pathfinder programme, which will create a model health response for survivors of domestic violence and abuse in general practice, mental health services and hospitals. This expands the number of clinical commissioning groups which are pathfinder sites from three to eight providing health services to approximately 18,000 survivors.</p><p>In March 2017 the Department published an online Domestic Violence and Abuse resource for health professionals to improve awareness of domestic violence and abuse. It advises health staff on how they can support adults and young people over 16 who are experiencing domestic abuse, and dependent children in their households, by showing how they can respond effectively to disclosures of abuse.</p><p>The Department has also funded the successful Identification and Referral to Improve Safety (IRIS) project. This provides staff training and a support programme to bridge the gap between the voluntary sector and primary care, to harness the strengths of each, and to provide an improved domestic violence service. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/05/2019 answer text <p>Transforming how we heat our homes is one of the most difficult decarbonisation challenges facing the country. A number of options have the potential for achieving this, including heat networks, heat pumps, hydrogen and biogas. We need to continue exploring and testing different approaches to heat decarbonisation.</p><p> </p><p>Through the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme we are spending £4.5 billion between 2016 and 2021 to support innovative low-carbon heat technologies in homes and businesses, including heat pumps. BEIS is considering the future policy framework for supporting electrification of heat and we are looking to launch an electrification of heat demonstration project in 2019 to inform our thinking on the feasibility of a large-scale transition to heat pumps.</p><p> </p><p>For hydrogen as an option for decarbonising heat, more work is needed to prove the safety and feasibility case as well as to gain a better understanding of the costs and benefits. BEIS is currently working towards building a programme of work to address these evidence gaps in partnership with industry, academia and other key stakeholders.
