answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2019 answer text <p>Advertising in the UK is regulated by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), the industry’s independent regulator, which enforces the Advertising Codes through a system of self-regulation and co-regulation with Ofcom. The Codes apply to all media, including broadcast and online. They incorporate all relevant legislation and set standards for accuracy and honesty to which advertisers must adhere, including specific conditions on advertising to children, causing offence and social responsibility.</p><p> </p><p>The ASA is recognised by the government, the courts and trading standards as the ‘established means’ for the enforcement of misleading advertising, and the Codes include rules designed to ensure that advertisers do not mislead consumers. The National Lottery awards grants to good causes delivered through a range of organisations, including charities, social enterprises and local grassroots groups.</p><p> </p><p>Below is data from the key National Lottery distributors showing the total grants awarded to good causes, including charities, in Southport since 2009/10. A high proportion of charities are based in cities and towns, but deliver activity and services to a much wider area. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/04/2019 answer text <p>Last December we published the Heritage Statement: One Year On which provides an update on our progress against commitments made in the Heritage Statement in 2017. These documents set out our priorities to support the heritage sector building on the strategy set out for heritage in the Culture White Paper. These documents are accessible on gov.uk.</p><p> </p><p>To support the heritage sector we also provide Grant-in-Aid (GIA). In 2018/19 this included £91,607,000 for Historic England, £2,604,000 for the Churches Conservation Trust and £5,574,000 for the National Heritage Memorial Fund.</p><p> </p><p>Likewise, over £8bn of funding has been supplied by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to around 44,000 projects from 1 April 1994 to 31 March 2018. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/04/2019 answer text <p>As part of the Civil Society Strategy, the Government committed to working with the National Lottery Community Fund to allocate £90 million from dormant bank accounts to a new, independent organisation to support young people furthest away from the labour market. Last week, the Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) launched and announced its Founding Chair, Joe Montgomery.</p><p> </p><p>Over the coming months, YFF will set out its strategy for using this funding to support the most disadvantaged young people into employment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/04/2019 answer text <p>The final participation and completion figures for the National Citizen Service programme in 2018 are undergoing compliance checks and will be published on gov.uk once they are finalised.</p><p> </p><p>Government targets have been agreed annually between the sponsoring Government Department and the NCS Trust in line with NCS Trust projections of demand. The table attached shows annual targets and participation ceilings.</p><p> </p><p>A maximum participation ceiling was allocated to NCS in the 2015 Spending Review to ensure that no young people were turned away from the programme. This was not a participation target. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/03/2019 answer text <p>Loot boxes do not fall under gambling law where the in-game items acquired are confined for use within the game and cannot be cashed out. The Government has no plans to ban loot boxes, or to amend Gambling Commission’s powers in relation to loot boxes. However, the Government is aware of concerns that entertainment products, such as some video games, could encourage gambling-like behaviour, and will continue to look closely at any evidence around this issue.</p><p>The Gambling Commission, as the regulator for gambling in Great Britain, has strong powers and can take action where it needs to address emerging risks.</p><p>In September 2018, the Gambling Commission, along with 15 other regulators from Europe and the USA, agreed to work together to monitor the characteristics of video games and social gaming and where there is potential cross-over into gambling.
