Guidance on security culture, including cyber security and managing digital footprints, is also available to staff through the Department’s intranet.</p><p>The Department runs cyber security sessions as part of the ‘Core Curriculum’ – a learning and development programme that is designed and delivered internally, based on the needs of MHCLG staff. This course is designed to make civil servants aware of their responsibilities when it comes to handling information, being alert to the dangers of fraud, ensuring information is protected and handled responsibly without preventing it from being shared appropriately, and how best to protect themselves and the information they hold when they are working remotely on online. We remain committed to taking each recommendation from that review forward in some way.</p><p>Ensuring that the courts are both transparent and comprehensible is essential, and publishing sentencing remarks would enable greater public understanding of sentencing decisions. We continue to consider how recommendation 13 could be taken forward.
