answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/01/2019 answer text <p>The government launched a £1.5 million grant fund in the private sector to support people to return to work. Our grant fund is enabling charities and other organisations to launch projects for people who are currently out of work due to caring responsibilities and want to return to permanent employment. Home-Start have previously applied for this GEO funding.</p><p> </p><p>We have recently announced further funding to support those with additional barriers to participating in the labour market – including people who speak little English, people with disabilities, and those who are homeless or have been victims of domestic abuse. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2019 answer text <p>​Regrettably human rights defenders remain under attack in many parts of the world. In 2018 over 300 defenders were killed and thousands more imprisoned, attacked or tortured around the world. This is why, at the high-level meeting on human rights defenders at the UN on 18 December, we called on governments to allow human rights defenders to fight for human rights; allow civil society the space to engage with and, where needed, challenge governments without fear or reprisal; and to create an environment where democracy can flourish. In November we co-sponsored a new UN General Assembly resolution on freedom of assembly and association, further strengthening support for civil society and human rights defenders. Throughout 2019 our network of embassies and high commissions will continue to work with Human Rights Defenders using the UK Guidelines on Working with Human Rights Defenders, which were updated again in 2018, to inform their work. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2019 answer text <p><strong></strong></p><p>The Government, through our overseas network, HM Trade Commissioners, and through Ministerial and Trade Envoy visits, works actively to support trade and reduce barriers for UK companies looking to export to Asia by engaging with the region’s governments and business sectors. Recently we’ve secured market access for UK dairy products to China, worth £240m over five years, and beef and lamb to Japan, worth £127m over five years. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2019 answer text <p>I met with Michael Ryan (Chief Operating Officer, Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services) on 22 November 2018, just after my statement to the House that day about the company’s announcement, on 21 November, about potential job losses in Belfast. I followed this up with a meeting on 10 December with Danny Di Perna (President, Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services, based in Montreal), Michael Ryan, and other senior company representatives.
