The numbers of people working within the Child Maintenance Service is reviewed regularly to ensure we have sufficient resources to answer customer calls and progress cases.</p><p>So far in 2018, we have recruited 835 people into the Child Maintenance Service, with these people joining us between February 2018 and October 2018, and we have plans in place for a further 40 people to join the Child Maintenance Service between November 2018 and January 2019.</p><p>The performance and timeliness of progressing changes to circumstances is under regular review and forms part of our external publication offering. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/11/2018 answer text <p>All pregnant women in custody have an individual care and management plan that is communicated to all staff and all pregnant women are seen by a mid-wife at least fortnightly or as required. Healthcare in prisons is provided by trained medics and nurses, but we have also made training on dealing with pregnant women available to all prison officers and new guidance will make clear that pregnant women should have access to 24-hour midwifery advice.</p><p> </p><p>We know it is extremely rare for a woman to give birth in prison - because every step is taken to get them to hospital - but those unique cases are invariably down to the unpredictability of labour.</p><p> </p><p>Our new Female Offenders Strategy made clear that we want fewer women serving short sentences in custody and more remaining in the community, making use of women’s centres to address needs such as substance misuse and mental health problems.</p> answering member constituency Charnwood answering member printed Edward Argar question first answered 20/11/2018 13:05:42 answering member 4362 label Biography information for Edward Argar

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/11/2018 answer text <table><tbody><tr><td><p><strong>191955</strong><strong>: </strong>Greater Manchester Police are undertaking an ongoing, expansive criminal investigation into alleged manipulation of toxicology results now by three individuals who were employed at Trimega, and later Randox Testing Services (RTS) after Trimega’s liquidation in 2014, and this matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness. <strong> </strong> As the police are now treating all results obtained by Trimega between 2010 and 2014 as unreliable, and because Trimega provided toxicology testing for civil and family court cases, it is possible that some civil cases may have been affected by manipulation, though this remains undetermined as the investigation is ongoing.</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><strong>191958: </strong>As of 16 November 2018, four C650 applications to vary or set aside a court order in relation to children (drug and/or alcohol toxicology test after 2010) have been filed with HM Courts &amp; Tribunals Service. Of these, one was dismissed on application because it did not relate to testing undertaken by Trimega. Of the other three, one was withdrawn and another dismissed by the judge hearing the case. Clinical commissioning group spend on children’s mental health has increased by 35% since 2015/16 and we are on target to see an additional 70,000 children annually in specialist NHS health services by 2020/21.</p><p> </p><p>We published ‘Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision: a Green Paper’ in December last year. This set out ambitious proposals to fill the gap in support for children and young people’s mental health. We are:</p><p>- Incentivising and supporting all schools and colleges to identify and train a Designated Senior Lead for Mental Health - funding new training to help leads put in place whole school approaches to mental health;</p><p>- Introducing new Mental Health Support Teams working in or near schools and colleges to provide earlier access to a wider range of support and treatments; and</p><p>- Piloting a new four week waiting time for NHS children and young people’s mental health services so that specialist help is available sooner.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We will pilot our proposals through our trailblazer sites, which will be announced soon. We accept that there are challenges and far more for Government to do in relation to children and young people’s mental health services.</p><p> </p><p>We are taking forward the headline commitment, made in Future in Mind, to improve access to children and young people’s mental health services, by enabling an additional 70,000 children and young people each year to access services. This commitment was re-stated as a recommendation within the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health, which has been accepted by the Government and NHS England and we are on track to enable an extra 70,000 children and young people to access care by 2020/21. Between 2015 and 2018, DFID supported 17.5 million people in Africa to access clean water and/or better sanitation. For example, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, over 2.7 million people gained access to clean water with DFID’s support between 2015 and 2018. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/11/2018 answer text <p>Since the Home Secretary’s statement to Parliament on 24 July, he has made no further public statement about this finding.</p><p>As set out in the Immigration Act 2014, Parliament has stated that the deportation of foreign criminals is in the public interest. The more serious the offence committed by a foreign criminal the greater the public interest in a deportation. However, this is subject to the UK’s obligations under the ECHR and the Refugee Convention.</p><p>In the case of a foreign national sentenced to a period of imprisonment of at least four years, where the public interest requires deportation unless there are very compelling circumstances, the length of time a person has lived in the UK as well as the strength of their social, cultural and family ties to the UK are all relevant factors taken into account when considering an Article 8 claim.</p><p>The Government has no plans to amend the Article 8 public interest considerations approved by Parliament during the passage of the Immigration Act 2014.</p> answering member constituency Romsey and Southampton North answering member printed Caroline Nokes question first answered 19/11/2018 17:56:59 answering member 4048 label Biography information for Caroline Nokes
