External studies have explored the connection between the state of the labour market and the number of people studying in higher education part-time.</p><p> </p><p>Government is taking steps to help people who want to study part-time, enabling individuals to gain new skills and advance their careers, and supporting the wider economy. In Universal Credit, a person who is not party to the earliest existing marriage has to claim as a single person on the basis of their own circumstances, as opposed to being treated as part of a couple.
