answer text <p>We do not comment on police use of specific investigative techniques. Investigative activity involving interference with property or wireless telegraphy is regulated by the Police Act 1997 and the Intelligence Services Act 1994 which sets out the high level of authorisation required before the police or security and intelligence agencies can undertake such activity. Use of these powers is overseen by the Intelligence Services Commissioner and the Office of Surveillance Commissioners.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The public consultation on the draft Equipment Interference Code of Practice closed in April. The Government is considering the responses carefully and will respond in due course, taking into account all relevant recommendations made by David Anderson in his recent report on investigatory powers.</p><p>The Government is committed to ensuring that our security and intelligence legislation is fair, effective and proportionate and reflects our duty to protect the public and our interests overseas in a way that is consistent with our lawful rights, the rule of law and transparency. The legal regime governing equipment interference ensures that this activity is conducted compatibly with ECHR rights. The draft Equipment Interference Code of Practice sets out the procedures that must be followed before equipment interference can take place and provides guidance on the processing, retention, destruction and disclosure of any information obtained by means of the interference</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Prompt Payment Code is a voluntary code for public, private and third sector organisations. Recent changes introduced a 30 day payment terms as a target which all signatories should work towards, and a maximum 60 day term. Whilst all signatories are actively encouraged to start complying with this early, it will come into force next year.</p><p> </p><p>The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 provides the power to introduce a reporting requirement for all large companies to report on their payment practices and performance. This requirement will be used to monitor the payment performance of large company signatories to the Code.</p><p> </p><p>A company which is registered in the UK will be subject to the new reporting requirements, regardless of where its payment department is located.</p> more like this

It applies to governing bodies of maintained schools, proprietors of academies (excluding 16–19 academies) and management committees of pupil referral units.
