motion text	That this House congratulates author and golf historian Roger McStravick on his endeavours to ensure a fitting memorial to St Andrews golfer and clubmaker Jamie Anderson, who won The Open three times in a row with victories at Musselburgh in 1877, Prestwick Golf Club in 1878 and St Andrews in 1879, with the erection of a headstone at his unmarked grave in the grounds of St Andrews Cathedral 113 years after his death in the poorhouse at the age of 63; recognises the enormous contribution of Anderson and his contemporaries from St Andrews, including Tom Morris, to the sport of golf; and notes the enormous contribution of Roger McStravick in raising funds and awareness that Jamie Anderson, a father of 11 and son of Auld Daw Anderson, should be suitably remembered for his success with a headstone accessible to visitors to St Andrews, alongside those of other golfing greats, including Bob Martin, Sandy Herd and both Young Tommy and Old Tom Morris.

motion text	That this House recognises that Europe is facing the worst refugee crisis since the Second World War; notes that those who have become refugees have had to leave their homes in the worst possible situations and seek sanctuary not out of choice but necessity; agrees that we all have a role to play and therefore congratulates Kingsbarns Community Council, that as part of the conditions to approve a new housing development in the village, asked for two houses be provided for Syrian refugee families if local people do not take up those houses; commends the community that have also undertaken to furnish those houses; and looks forward to welcoming refugees to Kingsbarns in the future.

motion text	That this House congratulates the University of St Andrews men's first team on winning the Queen's Park Shield; notes the shield, which bears the crests of the four universities surrounding a rare image of Hampden Park before redevelopment, was donated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association by Queen's Park Football Club and has been contested by teams representing the four Ancient Universities of Scotland since 1921; further notes that this is the first time in 75 years, following victories in 1925 and 1943, that St Andrews has won the solid silver shield; further congratulates the University's Director of Football Stuart Milne and his Saints Sport colleagues on the delivery of the performance sport programme which has, across all nine football teams, resulted in eight promotions and three cups in the last eight years; understands the final game was challenging, finishing 0-0 whereby St Andrews achieved a winning 6-5 result following a penalty shoot-out in which goalkeeper Alec Cadzow saved two penalties, players Alex Dodshon, Max Balmford, Michael Cameron, Luke Bain, Daniel Pilley and Finlay Tough scored, and Isaac Bonisteel had his kick saved; and notes that victory was a fitting finale for 10 out of the 16 players involved who are due to graduate from the University in Summer 2018.
