Decisions on funding post March 2025 are a matter for the Budget on October 30th.

We recognise the challenges this brings for some projects. We are working closely with local authorities and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to future funding, so communities continue to benefit from this vital support. Since the Act received Royal Assent, we have been working to develop our consultation on new competence and conduct regulatory standards, which will include qualification requirements for senior managers and executives in the social housing sector. As part of this we have had extensive engagement with a range of stakeholders including resident groups, landlords and qualifications providers. This stakeholder engagement has informed the proposals outlined within our consultation. The consultation will be published shortly.

The power within the Social Housing Regulation Act will be used to apply qualification requirements to housing managers within the social housing sector.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4726", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Baroness Penn"} } , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Baroness Penn"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2023-12-06", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2023-12-06T15:00:46.997Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "211"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Levelling Up, Housing and Communities"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Levelling Up, Housing and Communities"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2023-11-29", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Property: Management"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "2"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25277", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Lords"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask His Majesty's Government, since the Social Housing (Regulations) Act 2023 received Royal Assent, (1) what steps they have taken regarding the implementation of the requirement under the Act for property managing agents responsible for managing the common parts of private and mixed tenure tall buildings to obtain an appropriate housing management qualification, and (2) what discussions they have held with stakeholders regarding this requirement.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/2024", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Lord Hunt of Kings Heath"} } , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Lord Hunt of Kings Heath"} ], "uin" : "HL710"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1468291", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Cabinet Office"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1468291/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "
There are currently 63 living recipients of the Companion of Honour. We do not collect the information requested on political affiliation, nor do we monitor areas of residence after an award is bestowed.

In supporting the levelling up agenda, Her Majesty’s Government would like to see representation in the honours system from across the whole of the United Kingdom, reflecting the extraordinary contributions made across the country.

Data is collected using the county that the recipient gives as their correspondence address; this is usually their current home address and does not necessarily reflect their area of origin.

The percentage of BD22 recipients living in each region by level is attached.

The Government publishes honours transparency data broken down by both town/city and county. Data is collected using the county the recipient gives as their correspondence address (usually their home address rather than their places of origin). This data relates only to the main Prime Minister’s List and does not include data from the Defence List or the Overseas and International List, which are not administered by the Cabinet Office. The transparency data for the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2022 can be accessed at:
