The Government is clear that everyone should be able to live without fear of harassment or violence, in the workplace as much as anywhere else.

In July 2021, as part of our strategy to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls, the Government committed to a new package of measures which will strengthen protections for those affected by harassment at work. We intend to introduce a new duty on employers to take steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as explicit protections against workplace harassment by third parties. We are also preparing our own practical guidance for employers on preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.

The legislative commitments will be introduced when parliamentary time allows. We continue to seek an appropriate legislative vehicle; however, we are also ensuring that we take sufficient time to engage with a range of stakeholders, to ensure that what we introduce will be effective and make a real impact.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4597", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Kemi Badenoch"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Saffron Walden"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Kemi Badenoch"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2022-05-23", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "groupedQuestionUIN" : [{"_value" : "3636"} , {"_value" : "3637"} ], "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2022-05-23T16:00:28.067Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "31"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Women and Equalities"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Women and Equalities"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2022-05-17", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Employment: Sexual Harassment"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities, whether he has plans to bring forward measures to tackle sexual harassment in the workplace.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4418", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Justin Madders"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Ellesmere Port and Neston"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Justin Madders"} ], "uin" : "3638"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1151370", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Department of Health and Social Care"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1151370/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "

The NHS Long Term Plan published on 7 January 2019, set out a 10-year strategy for the National Health Service. It sets out how the NHS will spend the £33.9 billion cash terms annual increase going into the NHS budget by 2023/24.

It is for NHS England and NHS Improvement to make decisions about how to prioritise the how they meet the Long Term Plans commitments on dentistry from within the total settlement.

Over the NHS Long Term Plan period, to 2023/24, NHS England and NHS Improvement’s commissioning allocations for dental services are planned to increase to cover population growth, increasing demand for services and inflationary cost pressures.

NHS England and NHS Improvement are working closely with the Department to introduce a new NHS dental contract that will focus on achieving good oral health and increasing access to NHS dentistry, with a particular focus on improving the oral health of children, which are all key deliverables of the Long Term Plan.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4380", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Jo Churchill"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Bury St Edmunds"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Jo Churchill"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2019-10-30", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "groupedQuestionUIN" : {"_value" : "3637"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2019-10-30T17:46:47.36Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "17"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Health and Social Care"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Health and Social Care"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2019-10-22", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Dental Services: North Yorkshire"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what proportion of new funding under the NHS Long Term Plan he plans to allocate to NHS dental services in the Vale of York.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4079", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Julian Sturdy"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "York Outer"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Julian Sturdy"} ], "uin" : "3638"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/749679", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "HM Treasury"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/749679/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "

NCSC staff are subject to the same control on average public sector pay awards which applies across the public sector.

The Government greatly values the important work that public servants do in delivering essential public services.

Our policy on public sector pay balances the importance of recruiting and retaining high-quality people in our public services with making sure that our public finances remain sustainable, so that we can continue to see the improvements in our public services that we have seen under this Government. Information on the incomes of part-time students during and after their studies can be accessed through a variety of sources.

The Student Income and Expenditure Survey (SIES) 2011/12 measured the income during the academic year[1] from continuous jobs held by part-time students; that is a job that the student had before the start of the academic year and that was likely to continue until after the end of the academic year. The statistics can be found in Table 3.9 at the link below. The next iteration, SIES 2014/15 will be published in early 2016.

The Higher Education Statistics Agency’s (HESA) Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) data collection, and their follow-up Longitudinal Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (LDLHE) survey, measures the incomes of part-time graduates six months and forty months (3.5 years) after graduating. The latest statistics are available at the links below:

Student Loans for Tuition Fees have been available to part-time students meeting eligibility criteria since the academic year 2012/13. The earliest these borrowers may reach their Statutory Repayment Due Date (SRDD) for their loans is April 2016. After April 2016 Student Loans Company (SLC) statistics on Income Contingent Loan Repayments by Cohort will include part-time borrowers and show how many students are earning in excess of the £21,000 threshold and therefore making student loan repayments. The latest statistics, which refer primarily to full-time loan borrowers, are available in Table 3 at the following link:
