In response to COVID-19, 21 Cancer Alliances across England now have arrangements in place for cancer hubs. These are hospitals dedicated to cancer care away from hospitals dealing with the virus to keep often vulnerable cancer patients safe.

Essential and urgent cancer treatment has continued throughout the pandemic period, and we are now working on the restoration and recovery of all cancer services.

At the 2016 Supporting Syria and the Region Conference, donors pledged $6 billion grants for 2016 and a further $6.1 billion for 2017-2020. The Department for International Development has set up a tracking mechanism that reports on the delivery of all the financial commitments made at the Conference.

The most recent tracking report was published on 6 February 2017. It shows that of the $6 billion grants pledged for 2016, donors have spent $6.2 billion.
