NHS England is providing £150,000 of funding per medical degree apprentice over the term of the programme, as an Employer Support Fund, for cohorts that commence in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>
Medical schools will receive the Strategic Priorities Grant, funded by the Office of Students, for cohorts commencing in 2024 and 2025. Employers can utilise their apprenticeship levy up to a maximum of £27,000 over the term of the programme as a contribution to medical school tuition fees.<\/p>

There were an estimated 128,209 reported road casualties of all severities in Great Britain in 2021. This was an increase of 11 per cent compared to 2020, but 16 per cent lower than in 2019.<\/p>

Recent trends in road casualties have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Achieving net zero carbon emissions will require almost all UK homes to be supplied with low-carbon heating by 2050. Electrification through heat pumps and hydrogen both offer potential pathways to achieve heat decarbonisation, supported by other potential solutions including biogas and heat networks, and we expect 2050 to include a mix of these technologies. Currently, electrification of heat is the only pathway to net zero that has been proven to work at scale in buildings. That is why we have committed to grow the heat pump market to 600,000 installations a year by 2028.<\/p>
<\/p>
This commitment provides a clear long-term signal to industry on the expected scale of heat pump deployment, providing certainty and enabling investment. The Government is also undertaking a comprehensive package of measures to support the transition, including targeted public investment, proposals for regulation to decarbonise buildings off the gas grid, and establishing a new market-based mechanism. The full package of measures will be set out in our forthcoming Heat and Buildings Strategy. Additionally, the Government is currently trialling solutions to help overcome barriers to heat pump deployment as part of the £14.6 million Electrification of Heat Demonstration Project, which seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of a mass rollout of the technology by installing heat pumps in a representative sample of homes across the UK.<\/p>

We are investing approximately £17 million in the Supporting Families: Investing in Practice (SFIP) programme to roll out innovation models that have evidence of successfully keeping families together.<\/p>
Through this programme, we are testing the impact that Family Drug and Alcohol Courts (FDACs) can have in improving outcomes for children and families.<\/p>
The evaluation work carried out by the What Works for Children\u2019s Social Care will help us to identify how best to support vulnerable children and their families through FDACs.<\/p>
FDACs offer important support to families. Those local areas who were unsuccessful in the SFIP programme can choose to establish or commission these services locally. All National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) in receipt of public funding have been working closely with Sport England and/or UK Sport over the past few months to agree what they need to do to meet the requirements of the Code for Sports Governance.<\/p>
NGBs had until 31 October to provide evidence of how they are complying with the requirements in the code. Sport England and UK Sport will be reviewing this evidence, and will continue to be rigorous in their monitoring of on-going compliance of NGBs going forward.<\/p>
We have been clear that any organisations deemed to be non-compliant are at risk of having their funding removed.<\/p>

These activities address fraud as well as error, and both under and overpayments. It is therefore not possible to separate out the cost of activities focused exclusively on underpayments as a result of error.<\/p> <\/p> Universal Credit will make the welfare system simpler by replacing six benefits and credits with a single monthly payment. This simplification is expected to lead to a reduction in fraud and error due to the fact that information about claimants will be held in one place and updated more frequently and easily.<\/p> <\/p> For claimants that have income taxed under PAYE, Universal Credit will be linked to HMRC\u2019s Real Time Information system, which will provide an automatic monthly update of their income thus reducing the potential for both error and fraud.<\/p> <\/p> The Department has invested in compliance activity, so that case correctness is maintained and fraud and error entering the system are detected and resolved quickly. Across all delivery arms there is a focus on accuracy and quality, including a continuous quality checking regime to review claims and check processing accuracy.<\/p> <\/p> We constantly review claims by checking them against data coming into our systems, in order to highlight potential anomalies. We do this by using business rules which focus on potential error to identify both under and overpayments.<\/p> <\/p> The Department is taking steps to encourage claimants to ensure that the information provided to us is accurate and up-to-date. This includes a fraud and error communications campaign about driving behaviour change and emphasising that claimants must report any change of circumstances.<\/p>"}
