The UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) is aware of the Prospects trial involving 100,000 women to assess whether tomosynthesis could supplement the routine breast screening programme. The UK NSC will review the results of the research as soon as it is available. Tomosynthesis has been approved for use in the National Health Service breast screening programme as an optional tool in the assessment of screen detected soft tissue breast abnormalities, following the primary screen. The details of Huawei\u2019s entry into the UK market and associated decision making were subject of an inquiry by the Intelligence and Security Committee into \u2018Foreign involvement in the Critical National Infrastructure - The implications for national security\u2019. The findings of which were published in June 2013 followed by the government response in July 2013.<\/p>
Information on excluded pupils is collected from schools via the school census data collection. The department does not routinely collect information about a child\u2019s living arrangements, nor does it collect information on a child\u2019s relationship with their parents or other adults.<\/p> The department does collect the home address and certain other characteristic information that will provide some insight into the home background of individual children. This includes information concerning: whether the pupil would be eligible for free school meals or other funding streams (including early years pupil premium and disability access fund); whether the pupil is a service child; and whether the pupil has left care in England and Wales through either adoption, a special guardianship order, a residence order or a child arrangement order.<\/p> A robust approvals panel and other controls are in place to ensure that our data is safely guarded and used only in legal, secure and ethical ways.<\/p>"}
