The hon. Member for Westmorland and Lonsdale (Tim Farron) raised the issue of therapeutic radiographers during a debate on cancer workforce and early diagnosis on 8 January 2019, Official Report, columns 43WH-44WH.<\/p>

Health Education England published its first ever Cancer Workforce Plan in December 2017 which commits to the expansion of capacity and skills including an ambition to increase improved working practices, attracting qualified people back to the National Health Service through domestic and international recruitment.<\/p>

Following publication of the NHS Long Term Plan in January 2019, my Rt. hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has commissioned Baroness Dido Harding, working closely with Sir David Behan, to lead a number of programmes to engage with key NHS interests to develop a detailed workforce implementation plan. The independent Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation (AGNIR) published their report in the UK in 2012 and the European Commission\u2019s Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR) published their report in 2015. The World Health Organization is also currently preparing a review. The AGNIR report is available to view at following link:<\/p>£321.5<\/del> £312.5 <\/ins>million to Greater Manchester over the five-year period to 2022-23 as part of the Transforming Cities Fund. £160 million of this will help support the creation of a comprehensive cycling and walking network, informed by the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan that is currently being developed by Transport for Greater Manchester.<\/p>
