The Government values international exchange and collaboration in education and training.<\/p>
Under the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement, the UK would continue to take part in current EU programmes, including Erasmus+, for the duration of the transition period. Any participation beyond this would be a matter for upcoming negotiations on our future relationship with the EU. While the regulations for future EU programmes are still in the process of being developed, the Political Declaration envisages the possibility of UK participation in EU programmes like Erasmus+ and the negotiation of general terms of participation.<\/p>
In the event that the UK leaves the EU with no agreement in place, the Government\u2019s guarantee will cover the payment of awards to UK applicants for all successful Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps bids submitted before the end of 2020. Furthermore, the Commission\u2019s Erasmus+ contingency regulation establishes that Key Action 1 mobilities, that are ongoing when the UK withdraws from the EU, do not have to be interrupted, even in a \u2018no deal\u2019 scenario. <\/strong><\/ins>This means UK Erasmus+ students already abroad will be able to complete their study placements.<\/p> <\/p>"}

These include:<\/p> All pregnant women are provided with the local NHS Pregnancy free advice line number.<\/p><\/li> Fortnightly multi-disciplinary Maternity Boards for all pregnant women.<\/p><\/li> Ensuring local mid-midwifery services are fully engaged within the prison.<\/p><\/li> Ensuring appropriate Social Services support, including for those pregnant women who refuse to engage with ante-natal services.<\/p><\/li><\/ol> The Prison Group Director for the Women\u2019s Estate has asked prisons to ensure that the above measures are in place at each prison.<\/p> An additional safeguard has been put in place. That is that welfare observations on pregnant women who are post 28 weeks will take place every hour during the night.<\/p> A Prison Service Instruction sets out the current policy on Mother and Baby Units (MBUs), and the Policy Guidance adjoining the Women\u2019s Policy Framework 2018 contains comprehensive operational guidance on perinatal support to women in custody.<\/p> Before this tragic event took place, a review of the MBU policy was already underway and we are now expediting it.<\/p> To accompany the policy, a training course for managing pregnant women in custody and MBUs will continue to be available to prison staff supporting pregnant women, or women with children in MBUs.<\/p>"}
