As at 27 March 2019, our records show that 93 academies are in the process of transferring to different trusts.<\/p>
<\/p>
Table 1 shows the amount of time that these academies have been awaiting transfer, following approval from the Regional Schools Commissioner (RSC) for the academy to move trust.<\/p>

In some cases, the relevant RSC may intervene due to concerns about academy performance. A substantial majority of academy transfers are voluntary agreements between trusts.
